I was disappointed to see that I had received black instead of the brown I ordered. But after seeing the quality of the item I wasn’t even interested in asking for the right one. The feel is NOTHING like leather. The backing is plastic and the front is a weird texture that I can’t describe. I worry that the inside may be abrasive to a delicate knife as well. My test fit was with a mini bugout and an o-pen 2. The knife fits so tightly that I struggled to get it back out. The pen was so hard to get into its place that I gave up. Not ideal at all for an every day item and feels cheaply made. If it were a third of the price that it is, perhaps I would have had lower expectations. But I had really hoped for something a bit nicer than what I got.
This is such a well-crafted and useful-sized knife slip, I had to purchase a second one! It of-course fits the regular Bugout, but also fits knives such as the Sharp By Design Mini Evo, Civivi Elementum Button Lock (original), Brown Knives Mini FSDi, & WE Knives Kitefin very well.
